Choose Kindness Over Rightness® Course No. 1—How to Quiet the Mind
Learn to meditate and how to calm your mind. This course teaches basic meditation techniques from a Choose Kindness Over Rightness perspective. You will be able to improve your understanding of yourself, make better choices, and develop a sustainable peace of mind by learning to eliminate much of the suffering and the causes of suffering in your life. This course is for all students of meditation and for anyone who wishes to increase the harmony in their lives.
Choose Kindness Over Rightness® Course No. 2—Opening the Wisdom Eye
Continuing the themes developed in the Choose Kindness Over Rightness Course No. 1, participants will develop improved breath control and will be exposed to more advanced meditation techniques. In-depth definitions of Choose Kindness Over Rightness will be offered and detailed guided meditations will allow all the information received to be fully integrated into the student’s mind. Easy to learn meditation positions will also be demonstrated and an introduction to samatha and vipassana will be explained for use outside of class. This course is for all students at all levels and you do not need to have taken Course No. 1 to participate.
Choose Kindness Over Rightness® Course No. 3—Managing Grief
This Course will begin with breathing exercises to calm and focus the mind on the present moment. Choosing Kindness Over Rightness will be demonstrated using quotes from the Dhammapada and it will be shown how the First Noble Truth of Buddhism can release us from the suffering of grief. A powerful seven step process will teach participants how to become aware of, identify, and release negative thoughts and emotions. Three deep guided meditations will be experienced leading to the complete release of fearful feelings.
Choose Kindness Over Rightness Course No. 4—Skillful Choices
This Choose Kindness Over Rightness—Skillful Choices Course focuses on the how and why of all the choices that we make daily. All of our lives are but a parade of choices and as we choose, so is our life. Participants will learn how to select the disciplines that work in their lives plus those that release them from the cycles of suffering and dissatisfaction that so many experience. Powerful meditations that can be done anywhere will be shared. The development of inner peace and prosperity will be the result of this Course.
Choose Kindness Over Rightness® Course No. 5—The Way of World Peace
In the final Course in this Choose Kindness Over Rightness series teaches participants how to take their skillful choices out into society at large and into the world itself. After clearing the mind, and meditating on the Open Sky Mind, we will learn how to choose the naturally benevolent path which will benefit not only the student themselves, but their friends, community, and the general society. They will learn how to take loving-kindness, engage with the world, and teach others the freedom from suffering and the causes of suffering.
